Welcome to Walmart Land, a place where inspiration starts with play. Love entertainment & music or fashion & style? This world is full of mini games, challenges, events, easter eggs, obbys & more — all to inspire you to do more of what you ❤️ IRL. My role on this project was to lead creative direction on both the Walmart Land Roblox experience and all promotional materials for the virtual world, including OLV, digital, and influencer content. We kicked off with a virtual concert called Electric Fest, featuring Kane Brown, Madison Beer, and YUNGBLUD, and reached millions of fans who regained love for the Walmart brand.

How it started

It started with brainstorming games, challenges, and design ideas. Before we built the experience, we mapped it out. The world is shaped like Walmart's spark logo as a playful nod to the brand. Each piece of the spark functions as its own island, with a hub representing a deconstructed Walmart store in the center. Here are some early sketches.

How it turned out

We launched with two spark isles; House of Style and Electric Island. House of Style is the spot for all things fashion and beauty, while Electric Island is the best place to explore all things music and entertainment.
